Our NCC-approved service covers all aspects of your caravan, following the official industry protocol:

• Chassis & Running Gear: Full brake inspection, wheel bearing check, suspension assessment, tyre condition and pressure check, and coupling head operation (See Chassis Service)
• Gas System: Regulators, pipework, and appliance functionality (See Gas Safety Check)
• Electrical System (12V/240V): Leisure battery, charging circuit, sockets, and RCD/MCB safety devices.
• Water System: Taps, toilet, pump, and pipework for leaks or blockages.
• Bodywork & Structure: Full damp test, floor, roof, and seals (See Water Ingress / Damp check).
• Ventilation & Fire Safety: Vents, smoke/carbon monoxide alarms, and fire extinguishers.

What’s Included in Your Caravan Chassis Service?

During a chassis service, our trained technicians perform thorough checks and maintenance on key safety components:

• Braking System: Brake drums are removed for detailed inspection, cleaning, adjustment, and lubrication of all parts.
• Hitch & Coupling: We check the coupling head, safety catch, and overrun assembly for wear and operation, lubricating as required.
• Running Gear & Suspension: Axles, suspension assemblies, and general chassis components are inspected for condition, signs of fatigue, or rust.
• Wheels & Tyres: Road wheels are removed for thorough tyre inspection (wear, damage, age, pressure), and wheel nuts are torqued to manufacturer settings.
• Lighting & Electrics: All road lights, reflectors, and relevant plugs/cables are tested.
• Jockey Wheel & Corner Steadies: These moving parts are cleaned, checked for operation, and lubricated.

What’s Included in Your Damp Check:

• Thorough Inspection: A full examination of the roof, walls, and floor for moisture. We meticulously check all common problem areas, including roofs and skylights, window and door seals, internal joints and corners, locker panels and underbody
• Detailed Readings: We record moisture levels and report them in a clear, easy-to-understand format.
• Expert Advice: If any issues are identified, we assess the scale of the problem and provide guidance on the necessary remedial actions.

What’s Included in Your Gas Safety Check:

Our qualified technicians conduct a thorough, detailed inspection of your entire gas system. This includes:

• Gas Tightness Testing: A full system leak test using specialist detection equipment to identify any escapes.
• Appliance Functionality: Live testing of all gas appliances (cooker, fridge, heater, water heater) to ensure correct operation and that safety devices (FFDs) are working.
• System Integrity: Visual inspection and security checks of all pipework, valves, regulators, and connections for signs of wear or damage.
• Ventilation Assessment: Ensuring all purpose-built ventilation is clear and adequate airflow is maintained to prevent carbon monoxide build-up.
• Safety Alarms: Checking that carbon monoxide and smoke alarms are fitted correctly, in date, and fully operational.

What’s Included in Your Winterisation Service:

Our trained technicians will carry out a full, professional service to the highest standards, including:

• Complete Water System Drain-Down: All fresh, grey, and black water tanks are emptied, and all taps, showerheads, and pipes are drained and left open to guard against frost damage. The flush system is also thoroughly drained.
• System Checks: We conduct a visual inspection for any existing damage or potential frost risks.
• Gas & Electric Isolation: Gas supplies are safely turned off and disconnected where necessary. Electrical systems are isolated, and batteries are prepared for storage or removal/trickle charging as required.
• Interior Preparation: We ensure all internal doors, cupboards, and the fridge/freezer are left ajar to allow for essential airflow and prevent odours or mould. Soft furnishings are moved away from walls to reduce the risk of condensation damage.
• Exterior Care: We carry out a vermin prevention check, check tyre pressures and adjusted for storage (caravans only).

• Habitation & Interior Check: Inspecting for any signs of damp, mould or pests after winter storage.
• Recommissioning the Water System: Focussing on checking for leaks
• Gas & Electrical Systems: Ensuring all appliances (fridge, oven, heating) are working safely and correctly, and testing all lights, sockets, and leisure batteries.
• Chassis & Safety Inspection (for caravans): Checking brakes and hitch mechanisms.
• Tyre Safety: Checking tyre pressure, tread depth, and for any signs of damage or cracks (including the spare).
